DIY: Jewelry Tray

Over at Style Me Pretty: Living I found this really awesome DIY jewelry tray idea. Though my loving husband bought me a beautiful jewelry box for Christmas last year, I still wanted to give this DIY a try. Actually, I've noticed that at the end of the day my jewelry covers the bathroom counter because I'm "too tired" to put it in the box in our closet. Yes I know. A whole new kind of lazy... Anyway I thought that if I have this tray in the bathroom I can fill it up during the week and then use some time on the weekend to "unload" it. I don't know, we'll see haha. It was a lot of fun to put together and it took under 5 minutes to do. That is my kind of DIY!

What you'll need:

-Inexpensive laminate plates (found mine on sale at Target), short candle holders (again, Target on sale), and either a hot glue gun or super glue. I used a hot glue gun.

Put glue on the bottom of the first candle stick and then press it into the middle of the biggest plate. Let that dry. After that, add glue to the top of the first candle stick and press the middle sized plate onto that. Again, let it dry. Then do the same with the second candle and the littlest plate. It should look like this when you're done!
