DIY: Framed Wall Art

When Andrew and I found out we were having baby #2 we knew that we were going to need more space. So we moved out of our nice little condo and into a house. Living in a house has been amazing! However, we're renting, so any changes we want to make on the house we have to really think through. Will we want to change it back when we move? Painting any of our super white walls was out of the question so I've been trying to get creative when it comes to decorating them. The simplest way so far has been a gallery wall, which is taking some of my favorite pictures and grouping them together. The best looking gallery walls that I've seen have a mix of media, i.e. photos, prints, canvas and other wall art.

I needed something to mix in with my photos. I love the prints at Society 6 but those add up fast in your shopping cart. So I decided to make some wall art of my own.

What you'll need:

Frames, scrapbook paper, greeting cards, and double-sided tape.

2.2I got my cards from two places, Fourteen Forty and Emily McDowell. The frames (on sale) and scrapbook paper came from my local craft store.

SONY DSC 3I cut the fronts off of the cards and taped them onto scrapbook paper as a background. Then I used textured/patterned scrapbook paper to had a little dimension.

Home sweet home!
