DIY Glitter Glasses

I recently discovered The Girls With Glasses and I am in love with their blog. On their IG feed they have lots of pictures with their "glitter glasses". I saw them and wanted a pair ASAP. Just because.

However, another follower had asked where they could get a pair and the girls replied that they had made them! Then I realized that I could totally make some too!

So I did.

What you'll need... 3D Glasses, Mod Podge (MP), glitter, paintbrushes, and a top coat gloss.

SONY DSC SONY DSCPaint the MP on the glasses one section at a time and then sprinkle glitter in that area.

SONY DSCContinue to do that until your glasses are completely covered. Make sure you are working over a disposable surface (I used a paper bag) so that you can get rid of all the extra glitter you don't use. Glitter is so messy... Take the necessary precautions to make sure it doesn't end up all over your house.

SONY DSC SONY DSCAfter you've covered your glasses, go over the whole thing with a gloss.

SONY DSCThis should prevent the glitter coming off when you where them. I mean a little will alway end up in your hair. It's glitter. What do you expect?

SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSCMy new glitter glasses! Where will I where these you ask? EVERYWHERE! No but seriously. Probably when I do youth ministry... haha. I feel like these are a good icebreaker. Plus, if you're going to be/dress a little crazy, youth ministry is the place to do it.

Now I'm going to go do this to ALL of our 3D glasses around the house! Why did we ever keep them anyway? Oh well. Now I'll have lots of glittery glasses muhaha.
