A Barista Mommy Thanksgiving

My husband and I are really blessed to have both of our families living in the same city as us. I love the fact that my kids will grow up knowing both sets of grandparents so well. It does have its challenges too, especially around the holidays. There is lots of compromise and schedule rearranging involved but it's certainly worth it. This Thanksgiving we spent time with both families and it was wonderful.

I am so thankful for my family and my new family. I think sometimes as a society we get too caught up in the commercialization of the holiday and overlook what's at the core of that special day. It all comes down to family and friends. Big family or small family... Insane family or sane family (does that even exist?)... Family.

I'm so excited to spend this holiday season with amazing friends and family.
