Last week Andrew and I attended a dinner at the Wright House in Phoenix. The dinner was to celebrate the ground breaking of Villa Fatima. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even feel like I was in Arizona anymore! The atmosphere was sweet and elegant. The Wright House did a wonderful job of hosting this event.
I know that I've mentioned Villa Fatima here and there over the past week or so but I wanted to use this post to explain a little more...Villa Fatima will be a senior care facility specializing in alzheimer treatment and therapy. Sadly, more and more loved ones are being diagnosed with alzheimer's disease and the facility options are bleak. I'm sure you've heard some awful stories about treatment homes that treat their residents like animals. That is not going to be the case at Villa Fatima. Everyone at Villa Fatima will be treated with dignity. They will receive only the best care and as the founder Kelly Copeland likes to say, "You'll never find a straw stuck inside bottle of Ensure in our facility." At the dinner we were able to eat some of the kinds of food Villa Fatima will be serving to it's residents. There was a kale salad with blood oranges, creamed spinach (using coconut cream!) with bacon bits, and then lentils with chicken sausage as the main course. It was delicious and so healthy! I am excited to see the wonderful things that Villa Fatima is going do. A faith based care facility is so desperately needed for SO MANY people. Their next ground breaking will be in Houston Texas at the end of May. If you'd like more info or have any questions, just shoot me an email and I can put you in touch with their PR rep!
Here are some pictures from that lovely evening.
Happy Friday Everyone!
