Weekend Notes

This past weekend was busy but in the best kind of way. It was filled with good friends, lots of family time and delicious food. What more could you ask for? It was exactly what our family needed. Or should I say what I needed? Even though the house is a mess and the boys are still in their pajamas, I feel ready to tackle the rest of the week.

Saturday morning started out with brunch with one of my best friends. Emma is a bride to be, so I thought it would be fun to have a little get together with her and the other bridesmaids that live here in town (the other two live out of state). It was so nice enjoying each others company and talking about the wedding. While we sipped drinks from the bloody mary bar (yeah it's pretty amazing) Emma passed out instructions for the bridesmaid dresses with color swatches included. She is NOT messing around. It's really wonderful to see my bestie so happy and excited for what's to come.

After brunch I made it home to Andrew and the three little ones. That was the longest I had left him alone with all three and he survived! *cheers and applause* Once I was home we all got ready to attend the baptism of our friend's new baby girl! After the baptism there was a lovely reception in the hall where Peter and James could run around and stuff their faces with chocolate and cupcakes. Toddler heaven.

The pretty centerpieces!

A little flower on each water bottle. So cute!

So many sweet little touches. I loved this flower garland!

Toddler life.

Saturday evening we spent relaxing at home. After the boys woke up from their naps, Andrew took them out to get some new shoes. So then it was just me and little Aria. She slept and I got some grading done. Talk about a wild Saturday night.

On Sunday we got up early and went to church at 8:30. After Mass my family invited us out for breakfast. I mean brunch two days in a row?! If you insist.

Blueberry fingers.

All the coffee. Just kidding it's chocolate milk.... I think.

My Jamie Bear.

Then I took advantage of our pretty surroundings (not so much the carpet though. ew.) and did my What I Wore Sunday pictures.
