Earlier in the week when I met up with my moms group, we were discussing the things we remember our moms doing with us. Like drawing, crafting, cooking, reading books etc. For me, I have a lot of memories of doing fun projects. It seemed my mom always had an idea for something neat to create (like my DIY paper flowers). I remember one year I wanted to get a small gift for all my friends for Christmas. My mom came up with the idea to get small wooden boxes and paint them to look like Christmas cookies. They were so much fun to make and I *think* my friends liked them. So this year I decided to do the same thing but for Valentines! This DIY is really easy and great for last minute gifts! They are also awesome presents for little kids to give to grandparents and stuff like that. Here is what you'll need...

1) Simply paint the boxes in whichever color you like.

2) If you want to add glitter I suggest doing it before the paint is dry. Or you can use Mod Podge later to apply the glitter. If you are using a glitter pen I suggest letting the pain dry before applying.

3) For the red box, I let the paint dry and then applied the glitter glue to the edge of the lid and the bottom separately. Then I let drip down on it's own!
